American Cancer Society Walk & Roll
65,000 people this year. 178 people today. 7 people this hour. 2 people every 15 minutes.
Since you started reading this, someone in Illinois has heard that crushing, devastating, heart stopping news that "you have cancer."
About Walk & Roll
The American Cancer Society Walk & Roll is celebrating its 39th year in the Illinois area to support the fight against cancer, and its first year here in Peoria!
The Difference You Make
By participating in Walk & Roll, you are helping to raise funds that further the American Cancer Society’s mission to save lives and create more birthdays by helping people stay well, helping people get well, by finding cures, and by fighting back against a disease that has already taken too many lives.
Having your support takes us one step closer to a day when cancer no longer affects us or those we love.
Together, we are helping save lives.
On Saturday, August 14, bring your family out to Jubilee College State Park to walk, bike or run in the only event of its kind that fights all forms of cancer. Participants can choose from a 5K run, a 15 mile bike, or a 1 mile family fun walk. There’s no fee to register, but participants who raise $100 each will receive the 2010 Walk & Roll t-shirt. The suggested fundraising goal is $250 per person and incentive items are given out at different levels of fundraising.
